What do Social Workers do?
Social Workers are university-qualified allied health professionals, highly skilled in professional assessment, therapeutic supports and specialist support coordination.
We work with people of all ages living with disability, empowering them to build stronger social connections, enhance daily functioning, and live richer, more independent lives.

Our work includes: Helping individuals and families navigate complex systems like the NDIS, supporting with access requests, plan reviews and appeals, assisting when there are problems with service providers, advocating for better services, clearer communication and culturally safe support, building the skills of both individuals and their support network and enhancing social and economic participation and emotional resilience

Through evidence-based therapies and disability-specific interventions, we aim to remove barriers, strengthen informal and formal supports, and create genuine pathways to greater wellbeing.
How Social Workers are qualified and accountable
All Social Workers practicing in the NDIS and Aged Care space are required to be members of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). This means we: Adhere to the AASW Code of Ethics, meet strict Practice Standards and compliance guidelines, maintain ongoing professional development and clinical supervision

Social Workers complete either a four-year accredited Bachelor's degree or a two-year Master's degree. Many also hold advanced credentials, such as the Accredited Disability Social Work (ADSW) credential, demonstrating extensive expertise in disability practice.
Specialist skills that support you
Our Social Workers are trained to complete a wide range of specialist assessments, including: Psychosocial assessments,
Functional capacity and needs assessments, Risk and behaviour assessments, Independent living audits, Social functioning evaluations,Carer and environmental assessments

These assessments help ensure that your needs, strengths, and goals are clearly understood and that your NDIS or aged care plan truly reflects who you are and what you want to achieve.
Advocacy, Connection, and Real Change
When families are struggling with access issues, plan reviews, service gaps or service provider problems, our Social Workers step in to advocate, negotiate and problem-solve.
We work with individuals, families and service providers to co-create solutions, strengthen connections and drive sustainable, person-centred change.

Our goal is simple:
To support you to live the life you choose, connected to your community, your culture and your future.
Social Work Counselling and Therapeutic Supports
Our social workers provide tailored therapeutic supports, recognising that healing and empowerment are central to sustainable outcomes in disability and aged care.

We offer counselling to build emotional resilience, enhance mental health and support life transitions. Enhanced Positive Behaviour Support that addresses the whole person, focusing on relational, trauma-informed strategies rather than just managing behaviours and Family Therapy to strengthen communication, reduce stress, and build robust family and carer support networks.

These services work together to improve participant outcomes, foster independence, prevent crises and build stronger, more connected communities.
By addressing emotional, behavioural and systemic needs, we empower individuals, families, and providers to create lasting positive change.
